Global Knives were first designed in 1985 by Komin Yamada, he was comissioned by Yoshikin to develop a range of revolutionary knives using the best materials and latest manufacturing techniques. Global kitchen knives are crafted by hand using Yoshikin's own poprietery high carbon stainless steel called 'CROMOVA 18' in Niigata, Japan.
