Homemade Burgers With a TwistRecipe submitted by NickMain Courses Preparation Time: 15 Mins(plus chilling time) Cooking Time: Up to 15 Minutes depending on how rare you like your burgers Serves: 4 Ingredients 1lb/900g of good quality minced steak 1 tablespoon capers, finely chopped 1 red chilli finely chopped (optional) ½ onion, finely chopped 1 clove garlic finely chopped 1 handful of parsley, finely chopped Salt and pepper 1 egg yolk, beaten MethodCombine all the ingredients in one large mixing bowl, using your hands gives the best results! Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and mould into patties (we recommend a burger press for even burgers to ensure they all cook at equal times.) Refrigerate for an hour and allow to return to room temperature.Heat a griddle pan on full heat. Lightly oil the grill and place the burgers on. Grill for 3 minutes on each side for a medium burger. Serve on a warmed ciabatta and selection of sauces and salad.
